Job Summary

Root3’s Account Executives are at the forefront of our organization. They are the individuals that leverage their experience, knowledge, and training to exceed client expectations and drive their business forward.

As a member of the Account Team, an AE is responsible for meeting the strategic goals for assigned Root3 clients. Account Executives will typically be assigned to 4-6 accounts depending on program size and scope.

The Account Executive will understand the strategy as well as the outcomes it is designed to deliver and have the ability to orchestrate all resources including internal teams, external vendors, and client teams toward efficient execution. An AE will become an expert in the client space and hone the ability to edit/write peer-to-peer content. As the day-to-day client contact, the AE will work with clients on, but not limited to, planning, execution, management, and strategic analysis. This person will work closely with clients and Root3’s internal teams to kick off projects and ensure projects/campaigns/programs are on track and meeting the needs of clients. The AE will spearhead and generate quarterly reports to be reviewed with the Root3 Account Team and then with the client.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Nurture client relationship; provide exceptional service
  • Track client goals; seek assistance if Root3 is not meeting those goals
  • Develop a deep understanding of the contracted scope of work to ensure Root3 is operating efficiently
  • Run quarterly reports that tie Root3 work to customer goals
  • Hone the ability to edit and write content and materials used across all client channels
  • Develop original content ideas for clients’ specific industry; establish and maintain content calendars
  • Research and identify industry trends, evaluate relevance and share findings with team and clients, when appropriate
  • Maintain and proactively update brand guidelines for each assigned client
  • Oversee and coordinate Marketing Coordinators and freelancers’ assignments, deliverables and deadlines
  • Maintain content standards across all channels (requirements, SEO keywords, key messaging)
  • Proactively engage with client to oversee day-to-day management of content details including, but not limited to, drafts, reviews, edits and approvals
  • Support public relations initiatives (draft releases, pitch notes, media list, media outreach)

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of WordPress
  • Previous experience in healthcare, IT or commercial real estate industries
  • Previous experience with CRM and marketing automation tools such as SharpSpring, Zoho or Salesforce
  • Previous experience with project management software such as BrightPod, Basecamp or Asana

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field
  • Strong understanding of all forms of both traditional and digital marketing, including but not limited to, web strategies, social media, new media, guerilla and “word of mouth” marketing and public relations
  • 4+ years related marketing experience
  • 2+ years of account/project management experience; agency setting preferred
